(EN) Commissioned by Movimento Gallery for the exhibition One, Two, Many and designed by Corpus Studio, the Rhomy bench embodies a simple yet powerful idea: distinct fragments can create a coherent whole when their tensions become the design itself.

The structure, with a metallic finish developed by Movimento Gallery, is composed of two diagonally placed legs that meet to form a triangle and support, in the centre, a third V-shaped plate facing upwards. The hollow formed by the structure houses a hair-on cowhide cushion, introducing a material contrast between the rigidity of the structure and the softness of the seat.

Clean surfaces, overturned elements, and carefully designed cuts create a delicate balance between stability and instability, while the soft line of the cushion contrasts with the sharp angles of the bench. In Rhomy, fragility and permanence are not resolved, but rather combined, transforming the tension between opposites into a visual language that is both architecture and design.

(FR) Édité par la Movimento Gallery pour l'exposition One, Two, Many et dessiné par Corpus Studio, le banc Rhomy matérialise une idée simple mais puissante : des fragments distincts peuvent former un ensemble cohérent lorsque leurs tensions deviennent le projet lui-même.

La structure, dotée d'une finition métallique développée par la Movimento Gallery, se compose de deux pieds disposés en diagonale qui se rejoignent pour former un triangle et soutiennent, en leur centre, une troisième plaque en « V » tournée vers le haut. Le creux formé par la structure accueille un coussin en peau de vache, qui introduit un contraste de matière entre la rigidité de la structure et la douceur de l'assise.

Des surfaces nettes, des éléments renversés et des découpes étudiées créent un équilibre délicat entre stabilité et instabilité, tandis que la ligne souple du coussin contraste avec les angles vifs du banc. Dans Rhomy, fragilité et permanence ne se résolvent pas, elles se composent, transformant la tension entre les contraires en un langage visuel à la fois architecture et design.
